About

Jim O'Sullivan was born into a large working-class family in Cheltenham.
His parents hailed from the Dingle peninsula in County Kerry.
Jim studied at the London School of Economics and worked in some of London's most deprived inner-city areas to improve the life chances for residents. He later worked in the care sector, a place where there are few, if any, soft landings.
Jim's upbringing and career are major influences on his writing, as he seeks to champion the stories of those people rarely seen, heard or spoken about.
The Steam Catcher is his first novel.
